House. C15 with C16 rear wing; C17, C19 and C20 alterations. Originally timber-framed, underpinned by limestone rubble and brick; gabled pantile roof and brick stacks. L-plan with rear wing. One storey elevation has one small and one large gable to front of probably C17 date, and continuous mid C20 shop front.
Interior: the C15 front range has a butt-purlin roof with chamfered purlins and wind braces, common rafters and an off-centre closed collar truss; former open hall to the right with pointed-arched windbracing, has been truncated at the right-hand end. Early C16 two-bay collar-truss roof to rear.
