GV II

Two cottages, now one house. Dated 1859. English bond brick banded with rubble stone, tiled roof with fishscale tiles, coped verges and ashlar stacks. 'L'-plan, on corner site. Single storey and attic, 2-windowed; casements. Entrance front on corner of Bests Lane; central 4-panelled door in gabled stone porch with coped verge, 3-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement either side. Two full dormers with 2-light mullioned casements, bottle glass lozenge decoration and coped verges. Right return has 2- light mullioned casement to ground and first floor. Wing to right has central gabled porch with blocked doorway, 3-light mullioned casement either side, two full dormers with 2-light mullioned casements, 1859 datestone between. Rear external stacks. Interior not inspected. Good example of estate building, for the Everett family of Sutton Veny House (q.v.).
