2. One property with flats above and to rear. Frontage numbered Nos 25, 27 and 29 (shops). C18, 2 storeys. Ashlar Bath stone, 1st floor rendered, ground floor 3 modern shops, replacing pedimented doorcase and windows mentioned in previous list. Plain parapet with moulded coping. Old tile roof, hipped to left, one brick ridge chimney. 6 windows on 1st floor, glazing bar sashes, each made in a slight curve on plan. At rear of Nos 27 is a late C18 staircase with ramped rail, curled at bottom, dado and round headed staircase light. Small cobbled courtyard at rear formed by projecting 2 storey wings built of rubble. The east wing forms a picturesque alley with rear extensions of Nos 5 to 17 (odd).
