2. 1856 by W.J.Stent (local architect). 2 1/2 storeys, Jacobean style. Ashlar with slate roof. 3 gables to front, central shaped and pointed gable with scrollwork below and pinnacle at top; flanking shaped gables - all 3 with keyed occuli. 3 bay front, slight break to outer bays (which have cornices). 2 storey angled bay in centre with pierced balcony over cornice. On 1st floor mullion and transom windows, 2 lights to outer, 5 to centre bays. Ground floor has Ionic doorpieces to outer bays with scrollwork over panelled friezes and cornices. Round headed doorways, approached by steps, with head keys and glazed overlights, the Ionic pilasters rest on panelled bases. Centre bay now altered as main entrance with projecting canopy. Angled return to the Close of 3 bays and a further 6 bay continuation after an angle (Circa 1900).
