2. C18. 2 storeys. Ashlar with rusticated quoins and plinth. Modern pantile roof. Eaves cornice. 3 dormers with gablets (centre one with triangular pediment, the side ones with segmental pediments), 5 windows, sashes, glazing bars. 1st floor windows have architrave surrounds and pulvinated friezes, centre window has segmental pediment, others flat moulded cornices. Ground floor windows have architrave surrounds and keystones. Square-headed central doorway with architrave surround and flat moulded cornice on stone brackets. Wrought-iron lamp bracket over. 8-panelled door with shallow oblong fanlight. A wall continues from the right side of No 5, running north to join the left side of No 6. Rubble with stone coping. Set in the wall is a 6-panel door with a small hood over supported on foliated metal brackets.
Nos 34 St Margarets Hill, and all the listed buildings in St Margarets Place form a group.
