Manor house. Early C17, with possible C16 origins. Altered C18 and C19. Squared coursed banded lias to left of porch, rendered to right, with plinth, moulded storey bands above ground and first floor windows and coped gable to right. C20 tile roof with C17 brick stacks with offset cornices.U-shaped plan. 2 storeys plus attic; 5-window range. To left of porch a damaged 2-light mullioned window with a 4-light hollow-moulded mullioned and transomed window with king mullion to first floor. 4 windows to right of porch are C19 restored ovolo-moulded mullioned and transomed windows of 2, 4 and 5 lights with hood moulds and labels. 4 full dormers, gabled, with ball finials on kneelers and at apexes. Dormer to left has original 3-light ovolo-moulded mullioned window. Remaining dormer windows are C19 restored. All have hood moulds with carved labels. C17 two-storey gabled porch with ball finial at apex. Plinth and lias and sandstone quoins. Double plank studded doors within double wave-moulded arched surround with hood mould and diamond-shaped labels. First floor porch window of 2 hollow-moulded lights with elliptical heads. Hood mould with carved head labels. Sundial above. First floor storey band has carved figure to left end, with tablet of incised arms with moulded hood above storey band to left of porch. Further ovolo-moulded and plain-chamfered mullioned windows to rear, with one window of 4 elliptical-headed lights and king mullion. Right facade has mullioned and transomed window of 6 elliptical-headed lights (3 below transom) and a mullioned window of 3 elliptical-headed lights. 3- and 4-light hollow-moulded mullioned windows to left facade. Interior: chamfered beams to ground and first floors. Winder staircase to attics. Moulded wood 4-centred doorways to each end of through passage. (Buildings of England: Warwickshire, p.403).
