Detached town garden pavilion. Circa 1846-1866. Red brick. hipped plain tile roof. Entirely covered with ivy at time of inspection in 1994. Small hexagonal plan building with doorway on the west front and one window on either side of doorway. The windows had leaded panes. INTERIOR: The roof is ceiled. Hill Close Gardens were established in about 1846 as pleasure garden allotments and by 1877 there were 37 garden plots. They were laid out as detached gardens for town houses without gardens.
