- II
Circa late C18 red brick house embodying an early C17 timber-framed structure. Red brick but with the ground floor faced in sandstone ashlar. Stone quoins and keyblocks. On stone plinth. Brick modillion eaves cornice. Steeply pitched plain tile roof with stone coped gable ends. L-shape on plan. Two storeys and attic. To ground floor two segmental headed windows, each with six-light mullion-transom casements with leaded panes. Two modern single light casements with leaded panes, and later rectangular bay with modern metal case- ments with leaded panes. Two steps up to six panel door under rectangular fanlight. Two chimney stacks, one of stone projects from north gable. Interior: The timber-framing of the earlier structure is visible to ground and first floors of middle bay. Also chamfered ceiling beams.
