GREAT PACKINGTON PACKINGTON PARK SP28SW 8/79 Memorial, approx. 850m SE of Packington Hall

Memorial. c.1760. Coursed and squared sandstone pier on sandstone plinth. Pedimented. Cyma moulding to surround of tablet, which is inscribed in Roman lettering, now partly eroded, and records a death by lightning in that place and the date. On one side a stone is carved with crossed bolts of lightning.
