Country house, now derelict. Late C16 central range; early C18 orangery to left; early C18 addition to right forming east range with three mid C18 towers and early C19 infill has almost wholly disappeared. Early C18 and later north wings towards the road very largely demolished.

Central range is roughcast, possibly over some timber-framing. Orangery and remains of other ranges are of brick. Old plain-tile roofs; with coped gable parapet to left end of main range; large areas of roof of right part are missing; orangery has hipped roof. Large brick stack towards right end, probably C17, has three square shafts with upper part rebuilt and merged into one. Other brick stacks to rear.

Irregular original plan now indeterminate. Irregular south front to garden is of two storeys and attic; exact number of windows is indeterminate. Four large gables have large arched windows, with retains of Gothick glazing to left. Doorway with remains of moulded surround between second and third gable. Left bay has a boarded-up window to each floor. Second bay has snail boarded window to first floor. Third bay has large stone canted bay window, said to be Elizabethan (VCH); this and part of range to right are largely hidden by ivy. Fourth bay has string course. Large central opening. Window openings to left and right have keystones. Two windows above. Projecting orangery of 2-1-2 bays has alternating quoins. Slightly projecting centre rises above roof and has piers with re-used Ionic capitals, said to be late C17 work from Bretts Hall, framing round-arched entrance and keyed blind oculus above. The frieze and top part of the composition are missing. Windows with many glazing bars have brick cambered rches. Interior not inspected.
