Details

BEESTON C.P. HORSLEY LANE SJ 55 NW 5/11 Bath Garden Cottage (formerly listed as The Bathhouse Cottage) 1.3.67 GV II House. Early C18 with mid C19 alterations. Timber framed with brick infill and slate roof (originally thatched). Two storeys. Baffle-entry plan. Entrance front: Stone plinth. Two bays symmetrically disposed. Mid C19 simulated close-studded timber-framing with angle braces to left and right and six to the centre. Tension bracing to left and right with 4 to either side of the central doorway. Three-light casement windows to either side and two 2-light gabled semi-dormer windows to the first floor. Central ridge chimney stack. Right hand gable end has 6 x 3 cells of small framing with uprights and a V-strut to the gable. The left hand gable end is rendered and has a 3-light casement window to the ground floor and a 2-light window to the first floor with timbered gable above.
