Shop on a peninsular site. Mid C19, altered late C19. Painted roughcast, slate roof with a rendered stack to the left gable end. Truncated wedge-shaped plan. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 2-window range. Formerly all 6/6-pane tripartite sash windows, only that to the 1st floor left remains intact, the other have C19 or C20 casements replacing the central sash. The late C19 shop front is ornate with a deep cornice to the fascia, 4 cablemoulded colonnettes with foliate caps and fluted bases flank the plate-glass windows and entrance. A 6-panel door with a plain semicircular fanlight to the right has panelled reveals and soffit flanked by mid C19 pilasters topped by C20 consoles which reach the fascia. The rear has one late C19 sash window to each upper floor. That to the 2nd floor has a segmental-arched hoodmould and a bracketed sill; that to the 1st floor is similar but with a semicircular arch. C20 shop below. INTERIOR: not inspected.
