Block of 2 houses. C18 or earlier, reconstructed in early Cl9. Timberframe weatherboarded on a low tarred brick plinth. A single steep pitched slated roof. A tall 2 storeys pair of houses, 2 rooms deep with central red brick chimneys in the mid- wall. Brick gable wall added (?) on S. Small 2-light mullioned windows, 1 to each floor in each house. Windows above 1 another and doors up 2 steps near the corners. Continuous dripboard over Ground floor openings steps down at centre. Small paned cast iron casements (upper floor window of No 22 replaced in wood). 4-panel flush beaded door to No 22. Modern panelled door to No 24. A pair of weatherboarded timberframed village houses of special interest. Part ofa picturesque group in this part of the Conservation Area.
