4/25 Farm house approximately 80 m north-east of Little Brampton Farmhouse
GV II
Farmhouse approximately 80 m north-east of Little Brampton Farmhouse. Late C17, altered during C19 and early C20. Timber-framed on sandstone rubble plinth rendered to south-west front, sandstone rubble rebuilding of south-east gable end, Welsh slate roof. Three framed bays aligned south-east/north-west with large axial stack slightly to south-east of centre; C19 entrance to south- east end of south-west front. Single storey and attic, two gabled dormers with 2-light casement windows; ground floor with two single-light casement windows and two 2-light casement windows to left of C19 gabled wooden porch and ledged door. Interior reveals cross-beamed ceiling with jewelled stops to main beams. The sub-division of the rooms during the C19 obscures the position of the former entrance and through-passage, two C19 or early C20 cast iron ranges survive intact.
