Pair of cottages, formerly 4. Early C19. Ham stone near-ashlar; clay pantiles to shallow pitch between stepped coped
gables; brick chimney stacks. Two storeys, 7 bays in all. Casement windows; slim 3-light casements bays 1 to 4, but no
window upper bay 3, the upper windows having 2 horizontal bars to centre opening lights and 3 leaded bars to
sidelights; bays 5 and 7 have 2-light small-pane casements; all with gauged stone flat-arched heads to lower openings.
To lower bay 4 a mid-C19 shop front in debased Regency style with panelled stable door to left, under diamond-patterned
rectangular fanlight, the shop window having 20 panes, all framed with slim timber side pilasters and shallow fascia
over. To lower bay 6 a six-panelled door with timber architrave; traces of blocked doorways between bays 1 and 2 and to
lower bay 3, the latter now blocked by a matching casement window. Interiors not seen.
