Farmhouse, now house. Early C17. Timber framed with painted brick infill ,underbuilt in painted brick. Plain tile roof. Framing: small square panels (formerly 4 from sole plate to wall plate) with short straight corner braces. Collar and tie-beam roof trusses exposed in cross wings with king struts and v-struts. H-plan. One framed bay with cross wings of 2 framed bays. 2 storeys and attic. Large external lateral brick end stacks with pitched-roofed links to attic; that to left with recessed lozenge panels and 2 diagonal-placed square shafts and that to right with 3 square shafts, those on the outside set diagonally. Brick ridge stack off-centre to right. Central timber framed gabled full dormer with 2-light diamond-leaded wooden casement. 1-:1-:1- window front; C20 three-light diamond-leaded wooden casements. C20 carved wooden door off-centre to left in angle of cross wing with chamfered surround. One-storey lean-to at rear. Interior: timber framed cross walls. Chamfered ceiling beams with ogee stops. C18 staircase with open string, cut brackets, turned balusters, turned foot newel and moulded handrail. Left-hand ground- floor room has dressed sandstone fireplace with cyma-recta moulding. Right-hand ground-floor room has fireplace with chamfered wooden lintel. Early C18 doors with 6 raised and fielded panels.
