In the entry for:- WHITCHURCH URBAN C.P. HIGH STREET SJ 5441 (South-west side) Nos 58 and 60 8/105 II GV
the description shall be amended to read as follows:
Pair of houses, now shops. Early C19, incorporating a probably C17 core. Red brick, timber framed to side with painted brick nogging. Slate roof. 3 storeys. Wooden fascia board. External brick end stack to right. 1:3 bays; glazing bar sashes (1-6-pane to first floor and 12-pane to second floor) with painted stone cills and lintels, second bay from right blind. Circa 1930 shop-front to right with pair of plate-glass windows flanking central recessed glazed door. c.1900 shop-front to left with pair of plate-glass windows flanking central pair of half-glazed doors with over-light, and pilastered surround with fascia and cornice. Carriageway to left. Early C19 side door from carriageway with 4 flush panels and plain surround with cornice. Early C19 framing at rear of range above carriage-way. Short gabled rear wing has exposed tie-beam truss with 2 collars and queen struts. Interior not inspected but some internal timber framing noted. Included for group value.
