Pair of cottages, latterly three. Early and late C17 with late C19
addition and late C20 alterations and additions. Timber framed on brick
plinth with plastered and painted brick infill, partly rebuilt and extended
in painted and rendered brick. C20 planted timbers at rear. Framing:
early C17 large square panels (2 from sole plate to wall plate with
short straight corner braces and late C17 small square panels (4 from
sole plate to wall plate). L-plan; 4 framed bays with rear wing of
one framed bay. 2 storeys and attic and 2 storeys. 2 gabled eaves
dormers to right with 3-light wooden casements. Central brick stack
just behind ridge and integral brick end stack to left. 5-window front;
late C19 and late C20 one-, 2-and 3-light wooden casements. Half-glazed
C20 door to right. Blocked doorway between first and second windows
from left. C19 two-storey addition to right with integral brick end
stack, first-floor 2-light wooden casement and ground-floor canted bay.
Rear with three C20 dormers and C20 flat-roofed additions. Interior
not inspected.
