Farmhouse. Probably late C17 with considerable re-modelling, principally of late C18/early C19. Red brick with roughcast rear wall concealing timber frame, slate roof.
Three storeys, dentilled eaves cornice; four window front, mainly three-light mid C19 casements with cambered heads, those to first, third and fourth bays from left on top floor blind and with cross-paned sash and C20 French window inserted to third and fourth bays on ground floor respectively; plain six-panel door with glazed top lights under C20 concrete porch in second bay; prominent brick stack in roof slope between third and fourth bays and large partially roughcast external end stack to left; single storey range to left with rounded corner where it adjoins house.
INTERIOR: said to have timber-framed cross-walls and inglenook fireplace to left-hand stack.
