Shown on O.S. map as Bryn-y-fedwen.
Farmhouse, now house. Probably early to mid-C17 with later additions
and alterations. Whitewashed uncoursed limestone rubble with right gable
end rebuilt in C20 brick and timber framed with rendered infill to rear;
graded slate roof. Apparently of 3 or 4 framed bays with external lateral
stack to centre on front. One storey and gable-lit attic. C19 segmental-
headed casements to left and right with fixed-light window directly below
eaves to left of stack, which has segmental-headed boarded doors to left
and right. Stack has rubblestone base and brick shaft, top rebuilt in
C19 yellow brick. Integral lateral stack to rear on right and truncated
stack to left gable end. Rubblestone catslide outshut to rear on left.
Framing: exposed to rear on right: square panels, 3 -from cill to wall-
plate with short straight tension braces. Exposed single-purlin, wall-
plate and ridge piece ends to right gable end. Interior. Inspection
not possible at time of resurvey (October 1986) but noted as having chamfered
spine beams to left and right ground-floor rooms, with joists to latter.
Middle room has deep-chamfered cross beam and heavy joists. Inglenook
fireplace with chamfered wooden lintel. Tile floor.
