SOUTHBOROUGH PENNINGTON ROAD (south side) 1/17 Valley House 27-10-50 - II
Much restored C15 L-shaped timber-framed hall house on stone base. Mostly tile-hung, except exposed timbering on 1st floor of easternmost bay which is studded and overhangs on a bressummer and ends of floor joists. Gable above plastered with slight jetty on bressummer and brackets. Attic window in this gable. Steeply pitched plain tiled roof. 2 storeys, slightly irregular 3-window fronts to north and to east. Modern casements. Gabled porch at west end of north front with C17 boarded door. Interior: Mid C16 fireplace with long chamfered bressummer.
