9/214 Stable and cottage c.10m to SW of Asthall Farmhouse
GV II Stable and cottage. Stable is mid-late C18, cottage early C19. Coursed rubble limestone with dressed quoins and stone slate roofs. Stable is lofted, and has coped gables. Side to yard has small wooden windows flanking central stable door with dressed stone jambs, all three openings with wooden lintels. To right are external stone steps to gabled loft door. Small gabled loft door to centre of rear wall. Cottage, of one storey and attic and 2 small bays, has dressed stone chimney at south-west end. Side to yard has board door with rubble stone segmental arch; side to road has wooden casements, 3-light to ground floor left, 2-light in gabled semi-dormers. Another board door to right. Both ground floor openings have segmental arches of dressed stone.
