Details
MINSTER LOVELL MANOR ROAD SP3211 (South side) 19/111 Barn approx. 55m ESE of Manor 12/09/155 Farmhouse (Formerly listed as Barns at Manor Farm) GV II*
Barn. Pre-Romanesque origins, probably C15. Coursed stone rubble; stone slate roof. 7-bay barn. Hipped stone midstrey to right of centre with double plank doors. Plank door to left return of midstrey. Opposing doors to rear. C20 sliding doors to left of centre, opposing doors to rear. Rear: pre-Romanesque buttresses to left, medieval buttresses to right. Ventilation holes to walls. Interior: coupled-collar roof trusses. History: forms part of the manorial farm adjacent to the Manor House. The manor was owned by the Lovell family from C12 to 1465.
