Details
GRAFTON AND RADCOT SP2600-2700 9/52 Poplar Farmhouse and attached former stables 12.9.55 (Formerly listed as Poplar Farmhouse) GV II
Farmhouse. Mid-to late C18 with later additions and alterations. Roughly coursed limestone rubble; stone slate roofs. Main range of 3 bays with slightly lower range attached to left. 2 storeys. 3-window front; 3-light C19 casements, directly below eaves to first floor. Central entrance; half-glazed C19 door with wood lintel. Integral end stacks with shafts rebuilt in red brick, left retaining original stone base and moulded dripstone. Smaller C19 casement on each floor to left range with red brick ridge stack to left. Short gabled range at right-angles to rear on right of main range and lean-to at junction between ranges linking with former stables. Mid-to late C18. Roughly coursed limestone rubble; hipped corrugated iron roof. Wide entrance with wood lintel to centre. Interior: not inspected at time of resurvey (May 1987) but likely to be of interest. [2347]
