BURFORD AND UPTON CHURCH LANE SP2512 (Enlargement) AND SIGNET tat+ about 5m SE 7/27 Bale tomb about 5m SE porch of Church of of porch of Church of St John.

Bale tomb. Early-mid C18. Ashlar. Moulded panels, somewhat decayed. Central putti with hanging garlands of fruit on either side, outer scrolls in relief with putti above. Moulded frieze and cornice. Spiral bale in 2 parts each with scallop ends, to East containing the depiction of a castle.
