- II
Farmhouse. Datestone W/RS 1654 in left gable; later C17 rear wing. Coursed
limestone rubble; gabled stone slate roof; stone end stacks. L-plan with rear
left wing. 2 storeys and attic; irregular 2-window range. C20 conservatory to
front. Chamfered timber lintels over C20 plank door, 2-light casement above, and
over mid C19 sash with margin-lights; concrete lintel over C20 window to left;
C20 casements in gabled dormer and roof dormer. C17 two-light ovolo-mnulded
wood-mullioned window in left gable. Late C17 modillioned cornice to rear and to
rear wing of 2-storey, 2-window range; of similar materials, with blocked
openings and mid C19 door and sashes with margin-lights; one-storey service bay
with half-hipped roof to rear. Interior: front range has chamfered beams, stone
ovolo-moulded fireplace in room to right, and plank doors and late C17
bolection-moulded fireplace on first floor. Rear range has chamfered beams,
large open fireplace with bressumer and bread oven and fine late C17
straight-flight stairs with heavy turned balusters on closed string.
