WEST CHALLOW SILVER LANE SU38NE (West side) 2/187 Coppice Leaze Farmhouse and attached walls.

GV II

Farmhouse. Graffito FB 1737 on brick to right. Flared header bond brick with red brick quoins and dressings; old tile roof; brick stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-originally 5-window range. Segmental header arches over 6-panelled door and C18 ribbed door in moulded wood architraves flank late C18 sash. Wide late C18 porch on Doric columns. Segmental header arches over sashes. Chamfered brick cornice. C20 dormer. Hipped roof; rear lateral stack and right end stack with bread oven projection, 2-storey, 3-window range wing to rear right in similar materials and style. Interior: Mid C18 two-panelled doors, chamfered and stopped beams. Panelled room with moulded cornice to left. Subsidiary features: Mid C18 wall of Flemish bond brick with flared headers and stone coping to rear right and curving round garden to join front wall. Short walls with pyramidal coping to piers attached to either side of front wall.
