EATON HASTINGS SU29NE Faringdon tomb approx 3m 2/77 to W of St Michael's Church.
GV II
Monument. 1920-1 to Jane Allen, died 1920 and her husband Alexander, Baron Faringdon, died 1934. Large free-standing bronze cast of a sorrowing female in Italian Renaissance dress modelled with curvaceous Art Nouveau drapery and signed at the base 'George Frampton RA 1920'. She stands at the head of 3 marble slabs, the centre one raised and bevelled with a copper coat of arms and inscriptions, her head bowed, offering a wreath. The right-hand slab is initiated 'GF' and dated 1921.
