Details
EATON HASTINGS SU29NE The Grange 2/82 10/11/52 II Farmhouse. 1658, as recorded on datestone below the W stack on the W front, extended by the addition of a N wing in the C19. Coursed rubble stone with stone dressings and a gabled stone tiled roof with brick ridge stacks. S front of 2 storeys and attic; 4 bays with wooden box cornice and 4 irregular gabled dormers. Windows are 3-light 8-pane casements. Centrally placed panelled door beneath a flat moulded hood supported by brackets decorated with leaves and tendrils. N stone and brick wing doubled the size of the original house. 2 storeys and attic with gabled machine tiled roof. Further NE stone extension of one storey and attic. No contemporay internal features.
