GV II
House. Early C18. Coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels and marlstone gable parapets; Stonesfield-slate and concrete plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. 3-unit lobby-entry plan. 2 storeys plus attics and 2 storeys. Front, facing away from road, has 2 higher bays to right which have a central gabled stair tower and the entrance in line with the left stack; windows have 2-light casements. Lower bay to left has a second entrance plus 2- and 3-light casements. Upper stair window retains some leaded glazing. Rear has 3-light casements in the higher bays and 2-light casements in the lower. All lintels are chamfered. Roof has 2 gabled roof dormers to rear and has stacks to each of 3 gables; parapets have projecting kneelers. Interior: stop-chamfered beams; large bread oven; winder stair rising to attic.
