Details
BUCKLAND SU3497 8/24 Shoals GV II House. Dated M/C/M/1736. Coursed limestone rubble, repointed c.1970; stone slate roof; brick stacks finished in mid C20 brick. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Segmental brick arches over central blocked doorway with C20 casement, late C19 three-light casements and one C20 two-light casement. Gabled roof; gable end stacks, external to right. C18 two-light horizontal-sliding sash to rear. C20 porch to rear, mid C19 gabled single storey extension of limestone rubble with Welsh slate roof to right. Interior: remodelled c.1970 but retains some chamfered beams and 3-bay collar-truss roof. Included for group value.
