GARFORD SU4296 17/83 Millett's Farm cottages, Nos.8 and 9
- II
Farmhouse, now 2 cottages. Early/mid C18, mid C20 and C20 alterations. Uncoursed limestone rubble with brick dressings; half-hipped roof with stone slates to front and C20 tiles to rear; brick ridge and right end stacks. 3-unit plan. 2 storeys: 3-window range. Timber lintel over central C20 door; C20 porch and entry to left. Mid C19 segmental brick arches and first-floor timber lintels over 3-light casements. Outshut to rear left of similar materials with stone slate roof. Interior of No.9: stop-chamfered beams. No.8: stop-chamfered beams. C18 two-panelled door to C18 winder stairs from first floor to attic. Collar-truss roof with butt purlins: timber-framed central partition rises to closed truss of small panels.
