Details
BLEWBURY CHAPEL LANE su5z85 (West side) 16/12 The Red Lion Public House 25/10/51 (Formerly listed as Red Lion Inn) BY II Public house. Mid C17 cross-wing to rear, front range dated to datestone above central door, inscribed "W.B. Nov.24 1807". Red and flared brick in Flemish bond; old plain-tile roof; brick end stacks. 2-storey, 2-window range. Plank door to centre with segmental brick head and flat hood suspended from wrought-iron brackets, 3-light wood casements with segmental brick heads to all openings. Brick dentil course to eaves. Cross-wing to rear of small timber-framing with brick infill. Interior not inspected. C20 addition to right is not of special architectural interest.
