NEWINGTON A329 SU6096 (Vest side) 15/39 Group of 29 headstones to S of Church of St. Giles, 4 W of the path to Manor House gate and 25 in 5 rows to E of it

GV II

29 headstones. C17 and early C18. Limestone. The earlier stones have skull-and-scroll heads or a similar outline; 2, dating from 1666 and 166(?), have segmental heads with scrolled ends; later stones have scrolls and angel-heads in relief. The stones are grouped between the main path and the churchyard wall.
