Manor house, now tea shop. C15 with later alterations. Timber framing with brick infill; plain tile roof; brick stacks. Complex plan. 2 storeys, 2-window range. Irregular fenestration of casements with central 2-storey probably former porch with jettied first floor with queen post cross gable. Dormer to left. Massive lateral stack to right. Entrance to left return. Left return has ornamental panel timber framing to roof gable. Wing to rear probably C16 with C17 brick encasement. C20 fenestration of four 3-light casements to ground and first floor. Interior: Survival of much of original timber framing. Double-height hall with Queen post roof with wind braces to rear. History: Incorporates part of the manor house of Mapledurham Gurney, which predates the adjacent Mapledurham House (q.v.).
