GV II

House. Mid C18 with C17 range to rear left. Front of grey brick with red brick quoins and dressings; gabled old tile roof; brick left end stack. 2-unit front range. 2 storeys; 4-window range. Moulded eared architrave with pulvinated frieze over 6-panelled door. Gauged brick flat arches over horned sashes. Red brick storey band and dentilled eaves. Two rear wings have rendered walls and gabled old tile roof; C17 rear left wing, originally timber-framed, has stack adjoining front range. Interior: mid C19 doors, and C18 six- and 2-panelled doors. Hall to right has quarter-turn stairs with panelled spandrel and turned balusters on closed string. Rear left range has chamfered beams, ogee-stopped bressumer over open fireplace with adjoining spice cupboard; exposed first-floor wall plates.
