House. Late C17 with early C20 additions to rear. Red brick with grey brick
headers laid in Flemish bond; old plain-tile hipped double-depth roof; brick
ridge stacks with recessed panels to left and right of centre. Double-depth
plan. 2 storeys and attic; 7-window range. 2:3:2. The outer 2 bays on each side
of wider spaced articulation. Central sash door with 4-pane rectangular
overlight and painted ovolo moulded surround with fine carved shell hood on
scroll brackets. 24-pane unhorned sashes with architrave surrounds to all
openings. Flat brick band between ground and first floor. Moulded wood cornice
to eaves. Gabled dormer with 3-light casement to centre. Left hand return: 2
storey and attic; originally 5-window range. 24-pane sashes to ground floor
left, right and centre. Bricked openings to left and right of centre. 24-pane
sashes to first floor left and right of centre. Bricked openings to left, right,
and centre. 2 gabled dormers with 3-light casements. Right hand return: 2 storey
and attic; originally 4-window range. C19 angled bay to right, 24-pane sash to
left of centre. Bricked openings to left, and right of centre. 24-pane sashes to
first floor right and left and right of centre. Bricked opening to left.
Interior: late C17 open well staircase with barley-sugar twist balusters.
