Nos. 3 and 4 Priory Bank

Cottages. Late C17/early C18. Coursed limestone rubble; thatched roof and brick
stacks. 2-unit plan. One storey plus attics. Front of No.3 has plank door and
2-light casement, both to right, with attached pump to left; 3-light leaded
dormer. No.4 has plank door and 2-light casement to right and similar casement
to left; two C20 dormers. All ground floor openings were inserted when Nos.3 to
6 were given uniform brick quoins and segmental arches, probably in the early
C19. All casements have plank shutters. Straight joints between most units.
Interiors not inspected. Part of a picturesque cottage row.
