ROTHERFIELD GREYS SU78SW 6/130 Greys Court, Well House 24/10/51 (Formerly listed as Greys Court including Batchelors Hall, The Well House, and Towers NE, NW and SW of house) GV I Well house. Cl6. Red brick with flared headers in diaper pattern; plain old tile roof. Single-cell plan. 2 storey, 2 bay range. Plank door to left, wheel pivot housing to right. 3-light brick mullioned opening to centre first floor. Outshut to rear. Interior: C16 timber frame, with approx 6 metre diameter donkey wheel. Well shaft, probably dug C14, approx 55 metres deep. (Buildings of England : Oxfordshire, p.735-7; Greys Court, National Trust Guidebook, 1982).
