ST PETER'S COLLEGE 1. 1485 Dining Hall SP 5106 SW 8/261E 12.1.54. II 2. (2) To the South of the Church of St Peter's-le-Bailey is Hannington Hall (the surviving part of the Old New Inn Hall) which is used as the dining- hall and Junior common room. It was formerly known as Cramer's building of circa 1833, the architect being Thomas Greenshields of Oxford and erected by Dr J A Cramer, Principal of New Inn Hall, 1831-47. It was remodelled in 1879 to form a hall in memory of James Hannington, Bishop of Eastern Equatorial Africa, and a parochial school built behind it. Both these passed to St Peter's College in 1928. The school was then moved and Hannington Hall became the dining hall of St Peter's College. 2-storeyed Bath ashlar front with 4 pilaster strips, dentilled cornice, parapet and mullioned and transomed windows.
