Details
GONALSTON HOVERINGHAM ROAD SK 64 NE (north side) 4/58 Manor Farm House 7.8.52 G.V. II Farmhouse. Late C17 and early C18 with later C18 alterations to fenestration. Red brick. Plain tiles to front, concrete pantiles to rear. C18 front with single ridge red brick stack. Raised, brick coped, gables with kneelers. 2 storeys plus attic, 3 bays. First floor band and a band extending above the first floor windows. Central C19 red brick and pantile gabled porch with dentil eaves. Arched entrance with keyblock. Single glazing bar fixed light in each side wall. 2 semi-circular ashlar steps lead to the inner doorway with C20 glazing bar door with glazing bar overlight and keyblock. Either side are single glazing bar sashes, 3 similar, smaller sashes above. In the attic are 3 C20 wood and tile gabled dormers each with single glazing bar casement. There are 4 tie plates. The right gable wall has a single glazing bar sash on the ground and first floors, a band extends over the single glazing bar casement of the attic. To the rear is the late C17 2 storey plus attic 2 bay wing with raised, brick coped, gable with kneeler, right gable and single ridge red brick stacks and similar bands to the C18 front. Doorway with glazed and panelled door to the right is a single C20 glazing bar casement. Above is a single small glazing bar fixed light with a single cross casement to the right. In the attic is a single raised, brick coped, gabled dormer with kneelers and single glazing bar casement with band extending over. The rear of the main front has an outshut under catslide roof. To the left is the central 3 storey, single bay, stair turret with raised, brick coped, gables and kneelers. Single glazing bar casement, above is a single glazing bar sash with a single similar sash on the top floor.
