HALTWHISTLE MARKET PLACE NY 7064 (South side) 20/18 Sammy's Chop Suey House II
House incorporating shop. Early C19. Rendered masonry, stone-tiled roof and ashlar chimney stack. 2 storeys, 4-bays. Plinth and raised-and-chamfered quoins. 6 flush-panelled door to left of centre in raised tooled-and-margined surround. Replaced door and overlight at right in identical surround. Large late C20 glazed shop front at left. 12-pane sash between doorways in raised surround with projecting sill. Three 12-pane sashes and a blocked window above in identical surrounds. Hipped roof with off-centre ridge stack. C20 narrow 2-storey addition on rear is not of special interest. Included for group value.
