GV II

Planned farmbuildings dated 1858, modified, yard covered over and cartshed built c.1900. Coursed rubble with dressings except for snecked stone cartshed and timber covered yard; Welsh slate roofs. Ranges around rectangular yard open to south, with barn running north from centre of north range, and gingang on west of barn. Attached cartshed to north-west; north-east part of yard covered over.

North range 2 storeys. Central segmental arch with dated shield-shaped tablet M bearing initials H D over; 2 similar arches to right. Front wall of left part of range removed when covered yard built. Single-storey side ranges have various boarded doors and casement windows, mostly in alternating-block surrounds; coped gables at south end of ranges. Short flat-coped wall links west range with farmhouse outbuilding (q.v.). Covered yard has low rubble walls with arched coping carrying triple-gabled superstructure with slatted walls and bargeboards; central part of each roof span raised, with slatted sided; king- post roof trusses.

Rear elevation shows end of short north-east wing to left, with external stone. stair and pigeon holes in gable under canopy. Second external stair on left return of central barn; on right of barn circular gingang with 6 piers and conical roof. To far right a projecting cartshed with boarded doors under timber lintels on left return and 2 tall leaded roof vents with louvred sides and ornamental domed caps.

A good mid C19 planned farm, notable for the unusual quality of the additions and alterations of c.1900.
