GLANTON GLANTON PIKE NU 01 SE 8/206 Stable range to north of Glanton Pike GV II
Stable wing, cottage, coach-house and adjacent outbuildings. Late C18 and early C19. Stable wing and cottage squared tooled stone, coach-house and adjacent outbuildings rubble with tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings; Welsh slate roofs. Ranges on west and north of stable yard.
Elevations to yard: West range in 2 sections; left single-storey outbuilding with boarded door and 6-pane sash, linking to north-west wing of house; right projecting coach-house with segmental archway under asymmetric gable. North range 2 storeys + 1 storey with loft, 5 bays, irregular. Left end bay behind coach-house is cottage with coped gables on moulded kneelers and stepped-and- corniced right end stack. Lower right part has segmental arches in 2nd and 4th bays, boarded door, stable door, and varied fenestration including 2 low loft openings. 1 tall corniced ridge stack and two C20 ridge ventilators.
West elevation: End of coach-house shows boarded door, renewed 16-pane sash window and stepped-and-corniced gable stack. Cottage to left has 4-pane sash under 16-pane sash.
