SEATON DELAVAL A 190 NZ 3276 (South side) The Avenue 13/77 The Old Vicarage and attached walls GV II Vicarage, early C18 with later C18 and C19 extensions. C18 parts rubble with large roughly-shaped quoins and dressings; C19 parts snecked rubble with tooled quoins and dressings; except for brick outshut in English Garden Wall Bond 1 and 4. Blue slate roof to centre 3 bays, purple slates to ends; brick stacks.

South elevation 2 storeys, 7 bays; 3 centre bays are the original house. French windows with 6-pane overlight in bay 2, 6-panel door with 8-pane overlight on left of bay 6; 12-pane sash windows, renewed on 1st floor of extensions. Coped gables; end and 2 ridge stacks. Rear elevation is 2-storey outshut with 12- and 16-pane sashes; stone sills and floor bands.

Attached screen walls at each end of south elevation, each with downswept flat coping; that to left has doorway and 12-pane sash window.

Small porch to rear joins south wall of Walled Garden (q.v.).
