CRAMLINGTON CRAMLINGTON VILLAGE NZ 27 NE (North side) 4/57 The Blagdon Arms GV II Inn, late C18/early C19, 2 builds, with later C19 alterations. Tooled-and- margined stone front with cut dressings, rubble returns. Welsh slate roofs, with red tile cresting on left part. South elevation in 2 sections. Left part 2 storeys and attics, 4 bays. Renewed door between right bays; former doorway, now window, in 2nd bay has corbelled later C19 stop-chamfered hood with moulded cornice. Plate-glass sash windows with slightly-projecting sills. Chamfered eaves cornice, coped gables with moulded kneelers. 3 gabled roof dormers with plate-glass sashes and moulded finials on paired brackets. Banded end and ridge stacks. Right part 2 lower storeys, 2 wider bays, shows plate- glass sashes in alternating-block surrounds. Moulded brackets to eaves; coped right end gable; stepped-and-banded end stack. Left return shows 4-pane attic sash, and quoining of C18 house, extended to rear in C19.
Interior: 2 original fireplaces, one with old range, back-to-back in east part.
