House, early C19. Red brick and Welsh slate roof, moulded brick eaves. Part of terrace, 3 storeys and attic, main window range. Mid Cl9 bay to ground floor. Steps and railings lead to panelled door with fanlight set in early C19 moulded doorcase, part of pair with No 78 adjoining to left. Above is a small glazing bar sash on each floor. Attic dormer.

DERNGATE 1. 5327 (South West Side) Nos 76 to 80 (even) SF 7560 SE 4/47 9.12.68. II GV 2. Early C19, No 78 remodelled internally 1916 by C R Mackintosh with new back elevation in uncompromising early modernistic style for W J Basset Lowke, who removed features of one room by Mackintosh to No 508, Wellingborough Road, in 1925. 3 storeys, 3 windows and 2 small central later windows. Later bay window to No 80.
Nos 72 to 82 (even) form a group with No 1 Victoria Promenade.
