Details

TG 2208 NE ST. ANDREW'S STREET 15/702 (south side) 5.6.72 Nos. 2 and 4 (formerly listed as The Shrub House Public House) GV II Former public house and shop, disused at the time of re-survey. Early C19. White brick, painted at ground floor. Pantile roof. Corner site. 3 storeys. 7 bays divided 3:4 plus rounded corner bay. Corner door with flanking 2-light windows with attached Ionic columns between and square end pilasters. Shop door to left-hand side with fluted columns and small flat hood on triglyphs. 3 windows between the doors, central window with rusticated round- arch surround. Windows to the left of the shop door with panelled surround and hood. All the ground floor windows were boarded-up at the time of re-survey. Sash windows at first and second floors with glazing bars and rubbed brick flat arches. Box cornice. Two small flat-roof dormers. Roof hipped at west.
