Details
TL 3811 STANSTEAD ABBOTS HIGH STREET (north side) Stanstead Abbots village 13/12 No 61 II
House. Probably C17, altered after 1886 by casing front and W side in brick. Timberframed and plastered. Old red tiled roof. Yellow brick front and painted brick to W side. 2-storeys house with gable to street. Short higher front part, lower 2-storeys part behind with large red brick external gable chimney. 1- storey gabled extension and small tiled gabled porch at rear. 2- storeys and parapet front facade with hipped tiled roof. 2- windows to right of door, on both floors. Narrower blind recess over door. Recessed sash windows with red gauged brick flat arches and 6/6 panes. Half-glazed door with rectangular fanlight and hood.
