House. Early C16, c1900 and c1960. E. Boardman. Timber frame, brick. Tile roof. Irregular plan incorporating L-shaped C16 plan, extended and partly brick-clad c1900, extended and altered c1960. Facade of 2 storeys and attic. Regular neo-Georgian centre of 5 bays added c1960. 2 bays adjoining to left of c1900 with moulded brick mullioned windows. Further C20 2 storey addition to left. Interior. Large 5-light window with chamfered mullions, unglazed, now to interior wall. Very heavy scantling to timber frame. Ground floor room with very heavily chamfered transverse beam; roll moulding to joist supports. Upper room of 3 bays; hollow moulding to arched braces which form 4 4-centred arches; intermediate beams with hollow-nick-roll hollow moulding; this room now partitioned and partly ceils stairwell. Further first floor room with cambered tie beam with kneelers forming 4-centred arch, now partitioned.
